As customers enter through the doors to escape winter's bitter cold, they are greeted with both a rush of warm air and the warm embrace of the friendly atmosphere. Boyer's, a grocery store chain, has many locations scattered around Pennsylvania. Although the chain has many locations, the store located in Mount Carmel gives off a familiar warm, friendly vibe. With the staff behaving neighborly, it just makes you feel so good! (Figure 1)

White tiles cover the interior of the store from top to bottom. Customers of varying descriptions occupy the store throughout the day. Some shopping with their family, others shopping by themselves. Aisles fill the store with food fit for any recipe. Fresh produce that always looks newly picked. A bakery that bakes fresh, allowing the newly baked bread to waft its delicious smell all throughout the store.

Boyer's has a lot to offer its customers. Such as a hot bar that changes daily to give the frequent customer a variety of options to choose from. Students, in particular, enjoy visiting the hot bar after games and practices. The store shows its support by selling various shirts and other memorabilia of the local high school football team, the Red Tornadoes. A customer service desk that's available to help with anything customers might need. The staff working at the desk can help with anything from faxes, to even film development.

The staff treats every customer as if they have known them for years. Every worker wears a noticeable red shirt to display that they can help with anything the customer may need. Although many of the employees have been working at the store for many years they still wear a friendly smile whenever a customer enters. "The employees are like a big family that loves to joke around with one another," Clarissa Steinhart, a cashier and customer service employee, has to say.

Boyer's gives back to the community in many ways. Seniors in the community get a 5% discount every Tuesday. The store regularly has excellent deals and reasonable prices. Customers can shop fast and effectively due to the small size of the store. The helpful and friendly staff also speed up the process making their motto "shop fast, save money" true.

"My favorite thing about working here are the people I come across. My coworkers and the customers are my personal favorite. When I have a conversation with any of them, it makes the day easier to get through," Clarissa Steinhart says.

Boyer's is a store that is welcoming to every customer and employee. While in the store a genuine feeling of warmth envelopes over the customers. When leaving the store, warm air guides customers as they take their voyage back into the cold outside world.
