BU Football Coach & Quarterback

Quarterback inspired by Head Coach

When does the next season start? After the season you'd start to hear the people asking each other that. The coaching staff and players tend to enjoy the energy that the crowd and fans bring to the field. The head coach always bring the best he can to every game no matter the circumstances. Bloomsburg University's football team is division 2, with a 34-13 overall record for the 2017 season. The head coach is of course the main focus on the team as far as the faculty members within the team. Head coach name is Paul Darragh, he has taken the head coach position since the year of 2013 and has had the same position since. He was an linebacker when he played football back in his time, therefore he already has experience on the field. Paul as a coach, he his hard on every player on the team not for just discipline reasons, but so the team as a whole will progress and get better each season. There are several things that he puts together to keep his team in shape and ready for the next season. For example, he sets up off-season practice and training to help the quarter back get stronger as a leader, being as though the quarterback position is the leader of the offense team. Also it benefits the other players as far as making sure their bodies stay in shape, and remain good health for the season up next.

Daquan Bohannan is the quarter back of the Bloomsburg Huskies. He is inspired by the head coach and looks up to him as a role model. Daquan wasn't always into football, he was into the streets at one point in his life. Until he actually sat down with his father as a senior in high school one day and his father asked him "instead of being in the streets everyday, why don't you find something productive to do?" so then from that day forward Daquan has change. When they had this talk, Daquan took the chance and tried out for his school football team and he turned out to be star quarter back of the team. So thats where Bohannan journey and destiny for football began. Daquan states "football changed my life by teaching me different things like morals and respect for those close to you & the main way I could say it helped me by keeping me occupied and from just running around in the streets". Daquan found a different route to be successful, other than being on the street and doing things that was not making him a better person. Playing football really opened doors for him, and gave him the opportunity to go to school and actually make something of himself. Being able to buckle down and staying close to his head coach shows that he actually cares about his future. Daquan was willing to do what it took to better himself as a person by working hard and focusing on better himself by not putting himself in any trouble and staying on the fields and focused!
